The most successful Slovenian judo trainer had made a promise to make a pilgrimage to Brezje should Anamari Velenšek win a medal.

And as we all know, Anamari did win a bronze medal, so a couple of days after returning to Slovenia and taking part at the celebration of the gold medal won by Tina Trstenjak and the bronze medal won by Velenšek in Lopata, Fabjan started his pilgrimage to Brezje.

He set out on Sunday, in spite of the rain, and on Wednesday he completed the 106 km long hiking challenge. "To walk 106 km from Celje to Brezje... it was my personal decision, and I owe it to myself to keep that promise. I will try to make it in 4 stages, and rest in between, and I don't care how long it will take," Fabjan wrote on Judocluba Sankaku Facebook page he is editing before tackling the challenge.

"I want to lead a normal life"
The only thing he wants now is to rest. "Since the beginning of the Olympic Games I hardly spent any time at home; there was work to be done, and children camps started immediately; all that was waiting for me when I returned. I would like to spend some more time at home, to seclude and isolate myself from everything, and to start living a normal life, like an average Slovenian," he explained to TV Slovenija team.
