Ker želimo, da dokumentarno zgodbo spozna tudi mednarodna javnost, objavljamo še angleško različico filma. In the 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s, loans became more accessible, building materials were easier to come by and the dream of owning a home was more within reach than ever before. With great optimism, people threw themselves into building: for themselves, for their children, for their grandchildren. They put their sweat and tears, all their free time, their youth, into these walls and roofs. And so houses were built. Big houses. Oversized houses. Everyone helped with the construction: relatives, friends, children. But all too soon, the children grew up and moved away, and today the elderly parents find it hard to leave these houses, even though they have become more of a burden than a source of pride.
