Among his stated goals: improving Slovenia’s competitiveness and creating new jobs. He said that the Slovenian economy had grown less competitive in recent years. He said he would work to improve this, especially on a global level.

Among his top priorities: optimizing the work of the economy ministry. He suggested that there was progress to be made in terms of organizing the ministry. He also pointed to possible cooperation with chambers of commerce, unions and other institutions.
