The creators of the project believe that architecture is one of the biggest culprits for climate change, so their project focusses on the ways in which architecture could help tackle climate change in the future. The creators' initial idea was fleshed out by a group of internationally acclaimed experts. Matevž Čelik, the curator of the project, appointed a team of 13 architects, urban planners, researchers, and pedagogues to explore the relationship between water and architecture in the past, present, and future.
Their efforts have culminated in two projects, both of which launched on Thursday, two days before the official launch of the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale.
