Leta 1717 se je na Dunaju rodila Marija Terezija. Vladala je Habsburški monarhiji, bila nadvojvodinja Avstrije, kraljica Češke, Ogrske, Hrvaške, Dalmacije in Slavonije, vojvodinja Koroške, Kranjske in Štajerske. V naših krajih je uvedla obvezno šolanje otrok.
