Germany’s Bavarian city of Munich is hosting the 189th edition of Oktoberfest, which started on Saturday.
The festival is in full swing. The largest beer festival attracts several million beer lovers every year, around 6 million are expected this year.
This time around, visitors are also being checked with metal detectors. The heightened security measures are in place due to the recent terrorist attacks in Germany.
Beer is again more expensive, on average by 4 percent, while alcohol-free beer is also on the menu.
