The European Week of Waste Reduction is kicking in Slovenia today. As part of it, several events will take place until Thursday.
They will spotlight packaging waste, which constitutes 30% of the country's collected waste. Despite efforts, packaging waste has increased, reaching 317,000 tonnes in 2022, a nearly 10% rise from pre-Covid levels in 2019, emphasizing the need for awareness and reduction strategies.
