Slovenia’s Interior and Infrastructure ministers, Boštjan Poklukar and Alenka Bratušek, visited the DARS Motorway Company today. The ministers were acquainted with the work of DARS’ traffic-information centre and with reports of a 10% increase in traffic volume every year. The company also presented its plans to achieve digital traffic management. Infrastructure Minister Bratušek said we can expect less traffic jams once all the roadworks are finished, including the widening of the Ljubljana ring. Meanwhile as the number of accidents also keeps rising, Interior Minister Poklukar announced a stronger police presence on Slovenia’s highways and more speed cameras.
