The Medžuslavjanski or Interslavic language is a combination of Slavic languages which aims to help Slavs understand each other better. It's a language created by Czech professor Wojteh Merunka and Dutch linguist Jan van Steenbergen. Radio Si talked to professor Merunka about the project.

The Nobel Peace Prize was today awarded to Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali "for his efforts to achieve peace and international cooperation, and in particular for his decisive initiative to resolve the border conflict with neighboring Eritrea." Infrastructure Minister Alenka Bratušek announced faster train connection between Slovenia's two biggest cities, Ljubljana and Maribor. The journey currently takes between 2 and 3 hours. Minister Bratušek said that next autumn the travel time would be cut down to 1 hour and 30 minutes, once the renovation of the railway sections is complete and the Slovenian Railway company received its new trains.
