Almost 973 million passengers used air travel in the last year. This is nearly 6 % more than one year before.

Around half of them were flights within the European Union.

In comparison with the year 2009 the number of passengers has increased by 30%.

The highest numbers of travelers were recorded in Great Britain, followed by German, Spain, France and Italy.
