It means talks can move on to the long-term relationship between the UK and EU
British Prime Minister Theresa May was applauded by other leaders at dinner in Brussels on Thursday night after she made a speech about Brexit.
This suggests the process is more or less on track - and indicates a degree of support in Europe for May.
The next round of talks on a transition deal for the end of Brexit are expected to begin as early as next week.
Also, after the European summit the prime ministers of Slovenia and Croatia, Cerar and Plenkovič, have confirmed to hold a joint meeting in Brussels. The views of both countries remain the same. Cerar is expecting from Croatia to fullfil the arbitration agreement and Plenkovič is repeating his invitation to a visit in Zagreb.
