Around 1.6 million Slovenian voters will be able to cast their votes at one of over 3000 polling stations between 7 AM and 7 PM. They will have to choose between 14 lists with a total of 103 candidates vying for 8 seats in the European Parliament. In the UK and the Netherlands, the elections started already on Thursday, Ireland and the Czech Republic opened their polling stations on Friday, and yesterday the elections started already in Malta, Slovakia, and Latvia. The first results are expected after 11 PM when polling stations will close in Italy. The European Parliament will release then the first results translated in seats.
