At this year’s parade not only the French army participated but also armed forces from 9 other European countries.

During the parade French President Macron was joined by heads of state from other countries among them German chancellor Angela Merkel who stated that she sees this as a great gesture in the direction of European defence policy and a sign of enhanced European cooperation.

Macron addressed French soldiers already yesterday and he pointed out that one of the key priorities of his presidency was a more intense security cooperation among European countries

A lot of attention during the parade gained also French inventor Franky Zapata with his flyboard air. Apparently, the French army is already interested in this flying device.
