A group of asylum seekers protested in front of the parliament building in Ljubljana today demanding an end to deportations, and the right to live and work in Slovenia. They said they were workers, not criminals, and also accused the police of racial profiling. NGOs supporting the initiative said it was absurd for the government to keep saying that Slovenia needed more workers, while at the same time deporting those who want to work.
