Rescue teams successfully evacuated five people that had been trapped in a Karst cave since Saturday. The family of three and two guides who were trapped in the Križna cave are reportedly all in good physical and mental condition. The rescue team, accompanied by divers, used boats to bring the trapped to safety.
Sandi Curk from the Civil Protection unit, which led the rescue effort, said solidarity and humanity are values which will take our society forward. This was the first ever rescue from a tourist cave in Slovenia.
