Runners of all abilities were given a head start of 30 minutes over the so-called Catcher Car.

The first Wings for Life run began in 2014 in order to raise funds for spinal cord research.

All of the entry fees and donations go directly to the Wings for Life non-profit organisation.

An estimated 184,000 people took part around the world this year, of which 2,750 were in Slovenia, with all of the races setting off at the same time.
