The biggest prisoner exchange between Russia and the West since the Cold War took place yesterday. The exchange freed 24 prisoners from seven countries, including Slovenia.
Slovenia handed over two Russian spies who admitted to the spying charges and were held in detention for 19 months. The US released three Russian prisoners, while Germany, Poland, and Norway, each released one.
Meanwhile, among those released from Russia were Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, and US marine veteran Paul Whelan.
