The corriculum namely reserves more school hours for German language classes than for Slovene.

According to the United List, the proposal violates the law on minority education in Carinthia, which stipulates that all bilingual lessons must be held to the same extent in both languages.

It did however add that the two mandatory subjects will be marked separately for the first time in the next school year, which it deemed is a positive sign regarding equal representation of both languages.
