Slovenian MPs today unanimously approved changes expanding school lunch subsidies. The amendments provide free school lunches for children from families where each parent's average monthly income does not exceed EUR 470 until 1 September 2027.
Children from families in the fifth personal income tax bracket will meanwhile receive a 50% subsidy. Starting 1 September 2027, all school meals will be free for children. The changes to the act were supported by all 81 MPs.
