He met his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Cavusoglu, Prime Minister Binali Yildirim and parliamentary Speaker Ismail Kahraman today. The talks focused on further developing bilateral relations. Apart from that, they also discussed the EU-Turkey relations and topical regional issues. The two sides ended the meeting by adopting a protocol outlining the plans for further deepening ties in different areas. Around 250 Slovenian companies did business with the Turkish market last year, making Turkey an important country to Slovenia import and export-wise. Last year, trade exchange between the two countries amounted to €609 million.
