One of Slovenia's most successful basketball players, Goran Dragić, announced on Twitter today that he would return to the national team for the upcoming European Basketball Championships.

Slovenia won their first ever Eurobasket title in 2017 and are the defending champions.

This year's championships will be hosted by four countries - the Czech Republic, Georgia, Italy and Germany. It begins on the 1st of September.

Slovenia's first match will be against Lithuania in Cologne on the first day of the competition.

The two teams are joined in Group B by Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary and France.

The final will be held in Berlin on the 18th of September.
