Voters in 47 Slovenian municipalities headed to the polls last Sunday for the second round of local elections. Interior Minister Tatjana Bobnar resigned, and the government and healthcare trade unions signed an agreement this week while the Fides trade union of doctors and dentists announced Slovenian doctors will go on strike in January.

And on a completely different note, Slovenia’s representative at next year’s Eurovision Song Contest has already been announced.
