The wildfire that broke out in the northwest Kras region yesterday is under control. However, around 400 firefighters are still at the scene and are being helped by five helicopters. Officials say the strong winds have calmed down, but that the danger is not over yet. The affected area is also full of unexploded ordnance from WWI, which is why demining technicians have also been deployed.
