The Kresnik Prize for the best Slovenian novel of the year will be handed out tonight.
It will conferred at a traditional bonfire ceremony on a hill above Ljubljana this evening for the 33rd year in a row.
The winner will light a bonfire in front of the Visitation of Mary Church
The Kresnik was first given out in 1991.
Last year it went to the novel a Hundred Years of Blindness, a historical novel focusing on a coal mining family.
