The tax rate reduced from 22% to 9.5% would apply for the heating season, from September 1 to May 31 next year.

Prime minister Robert Golob yesterday evening dismissed the opposition's proposal for an additional cut to 5% as unnecessary, saying they would rather use the budget resources to reduce the Value Added Tax on food.
