The Slovenian men's football team lost to Portugal in the round of 16 at Euro 2024 in Frankfurt yesterday.
Slovenia lost after a penalty shoot-out that followed 30 minutes of in which Slovenia's goalkeeper Jan Oblak saved a penalty by the Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Some 8,000 Slovenes were in Frankfurt for the event.
It was nevertheless a historic success for Sloveniam which made it to the knock-out stage of a major competition for the first time in history.
The Portuguese will meanwhile face France.
