The Justice Ministry has cancelled a planned new building in the capital.
Officials said current public finances did not allow for it.
It is not clear if the project is being scrapped or if a smaller building will be built.
The Supreme Court was critical of the decision, noting that courts in Ljubljana are dispersed across 18 locations in the city, with many spaces rented.
