The biggest crowds are expected in Ljubljana, which will have four concert venues and a big fireworks display at midnight.

Large open-air parties with live music will also be held in many other towns across Slovenia.

However, some cities have decided not to have fireworks this year, including Koper, Maribor and Ptuj.
