Slovenia signed a deal to grant Ukraine EUR 1.5m for demining efforts. The agreement was signed today by Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon and Ukraine's Ambassador in Ljubljana Andriy Taran. Also present at the signing was Ukraine's first Vice Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
A big portion of Ukraine's territory is covered with land mines and Slovenia said it would support all efforts for the safe and sustainable reconstruction of the country.
Minister Fajon added that Slovenia will also continue to support Ukraine on its European path.
