A low-profile memorial event will be held at the Russian Chapel below the Vršič mountain pass today. The event is held every year in memory of Russian POWs who died while building the mountain pass during World War I. However, this year because of the war in Ukraine only members and friends of the Slovenia-Russia Association will gather at the chapel, and make a call for peace.
