At the Paris Summer Olympics, Slovenia's handball team qualified for the semifinals last night. The historic feat was achieved after beating Norway with 33:28. Coach Uroš Zorman said the team was writing history, praising its performance, energy, and will. In the semifinals Slovenia will play against Denmark on Friday.
Meanwhile, also yesterday, discus thrower Kristjan Čeh finished 4th, missing the bronze by just 90 cm. And in the pole vault competition Tina Šutej finished 19th.
Today, Slovenia will have another chance to win an Olympic medal. The kite sailing final races are scheduled for this afternoon, and Slovenia's Toni Vodišek holds the lead.
