An event marking the International Day of Peace was held at the Monument of Peace in Cerje today. The keynote speaker at the traditional event was Parliamentary Speaker Urška Klakočar Zupančič. From there she praised the TIGR anti-fascist resistance movement which played a key role in the liberation process of the entire coastal region. She also called for the killings of people around the world to stop, and said we're all equal regardless of what we are, our religion, or sex. Veteran organizations and choirs also took part in the All-Slovenian rally for peace in Cerje.
