He dedicated this win to Swiss cyclist Gino Mäder, who died last year at the tour de France. Paul Double from Great Britain finished the stage 2nd and Italian Giovanni Aleotti 3rd. This is the shortest stage of Tour of Slovenia but the most intensive one as it finishes on the Krvavec mountain over 1.500m above sea level. Tomorrow’s 5th and last stage will take the the cyclists 157km from Šentjernej to Novo mesto.
