The LA Lakers beat the Miami Heat in the NBA finals.
The LA Lakers are the new NBA champions. They beat the Miami Heat in game 6 last night with 106:93. This is the Lakers' 17th championship title. Lebron James was declared the finals MVP. Slovenian star Goran Dragić did play last night despite injury problems, but scored only 5 points in 19 minutes, and was unable to help the Miami Heat extend the finals to a game 7.
The Slovenian men's team are currently 3rd in the world rankings, behind Poland and Japan.
The school year officially ends on the 24th of June every year ahead of Statehood Day, which is a national holiday.
