Today is what’s known as the Merry Day of Culture. It celebrates the birth of Slovenia’s greatest poet, France Preseren.
Almost 200 free events will be held today, including theatre and dance performances, concerts, film screenings, and more.
The winners of the Prešeren Prize will also be announced.
Culturual institutions will be open and free to visit today. Slovenia has been celebrating the metty day of culture since 2000.
