Slovenia took a 29:24 win against Sweden at the last match in the third round in Group A at the men’s handball competition at the Paris Olympics.

Blaž Janc was the best scorer in the Slovenian team: ‘’We've been playing superbly since the first minute of this tournament, we played a superb match, again with a smile. In the end, most probably not many people expected us to win, but we’re here. We played at the highest level, from defense to attack, we did not lose the balls. The goalkeepers were excellent. The desire and the energy is incredible, and with such energy, as I already said after the match with Croatia, it will be difficult to stop us now.’’

Slovenia still face Germany and Japan in Group A, where Slovenia, Croatia, Spain and Germany now have four points each, while Sweden have two and Japan none.
