Slovenia is deploying a helicopter again to help fight wildfires in North Macedonia. A Slovenian Army helicopter with its crew will be in North Macedonia for five days.
Extensive wildfires are raging in several parts of the Balkan land-locked country. At least one person is reported to have died because of the fires.
Slovenia already sent two helicopters to assist firefighting efforts in North Macedonia in mid-July.
Meanwhile wildfires are also causing problems in Croatia's Dalmatia region and in parts of Albania.
