Slovenia starts its vaccination program with the new Omicron-adapted booster shots today.
The new boosters are recommended for chronic patients, care home residents, and those over the age of 60.
There are around 153,000 doses of the approved omicron-adapted Pfizer vaccine in Slovenia, which has been registered for use for all those over the age of 12.
Slovenia has also received around 33,000 doses of the Moderna booster, however this vaccine has not yet been approved for use.
