President Nataša Pirc Musar is in Montenegro from today until Thursday.
She will be received by her Montenegrin counterpart and other senior officials. The visit will focus on strengthening trade. She will be accompanied by a business delegation.
Montenegro is currently in the middle of EU accession negotiations. It has been a NATO member since 2017.
Slovenia exported EUR 130 million worth of goods to Montenegro in 2023. Slovenia is also the fifth largest donor of development aid to Montenegro.
