The 40th Slovenian Book Fair opens this evening in Ljubljana.
Organizers expect the fair to attract some 60,000 visitors until Sunday.
This year's country in focus will be Croatia, and the opening will also be attended by the culture ministers of Slovenia and Croatia, Asta Vrečko and Nina Obuljen Koržinek.
Meanwhile, Slovenske Konjice will be this year's Slovenian guest town, as it celebrates the centenary of the birth of its acclaimed poet and translator Ivan Minatti.
