Afterwards, Šutej said that it had been a good competition, which included her first vault outdoors over 4 metres 80. She added that one missed attempt had cost her a medal, so she couldn't be totally satisfied.

In spite of that, she said that it had been the best competition of her career to date.

The gold medal was shared by Australia's Nina Kennedy and Katie Moon of the USA after a tense final.
