Ahead of the 24 Apr general elections, residents of nursing homes and voters in hospitals or prisons, and those in isolation due to coronavirus infection, can inform by midnight the district electoral commission that they want to vote by post.

Disabled people can also vote in this way, given they submit a decision by a competent authority on the recognition of their status.

Slovenian voters residing abroad also have the opportunity to vote by post, but they do not need to register separately, as they will automatically receive election materials by post. However, they will also be able to cast their ballots on April 24 at one of the polling stations of the diplomatic and consular missions.
