Yesterday, the team defeated reigning European champions Spain 92:72 in the semi-finals in Istanbul, thus securing their spot in the first ever final of the EuroBasket championship for Slovenia.

The team captain and main candidate for the MVP of the championship Goran Dragić said the team shocked everyone, even themselves. 18-year old basketball prodigy Luka Dončič meanwhile commented that it was a match of a lifetime and that they are not done yet, since they still have one match left to win.

On Sunday Slovenia will be playing for the gold medal against the winner of the other semi-final match between Russia and Serbia. The latter will get under way at 8:30PM.
