The heavy traffic is due to the start of holidays in the German regions of Baden-Wuerttemberg and Bavaria, as well as the short-term Italian collective holidays. To avoid the congestion the traffic information center advises all of you going on vacation to either travel in early morning or late night hours. They also advise drivers to take the congestion and longer traveling times into account and bring enough drinking water. The center also does not recommend traveling until 2PM to and from Croatia today or late in the afternoon tomorrow.
