We recently heard optimistic words from Janez Potočnik speaking at the recent Forum for Food and Agriculture. In spite of rarely being in Slovenia these days I was greatly honoured to be offered time to discus food and other environment issues just a few weeks ago. His environmental role as European Commissioner for the Environment was one that he really wanted as it allowed him an opportunity to advance many ideas for the future.
