The world's most famous dog show closed at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, UK, on Sunday. More than 20,000 dogs from across the world, covering more than 200 breeds, and about 150,000 people, appeared there over the four days. The event culminated with the best in show competition. This year, the title went to a whippet from Venice, Italy.

Jane Coyle is an award-winning writer, arts journalist and critic, who has worked across print and broadcast media platforms in the UK, Ireland and Europe. Jane has written three feature-length screenplays and five stage plays and is co-librettist for the opera adaptation of her play The Suitcase. The suitcase became her inspiration for the Farm Girl monologue which tells the story of a girl growing up during WW2 and the horrors of the concentration camps. A monologue which she has performed around much of Europe and Great Britain. This performance was made here in Ljubliana and was arranged by the British Embassy.
