The library in Krško is one of the four nominees for Public Library of the Year.
Alongside the Valvasor library in Krško, the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) also nominated libraries in Barcelona – Spain, Parramatta – Australia, and in Shanghai – China for the award. The global award recognizes newly built public libraries offering a winning combination of functional architecture, creative IT solutions, and strengthening local culture. The winner will be announced at the IFLA congress which will take place between the 21st and 25th of August in Rotterdam.
