The council met today in the prime minister's office in light of the latest developments in Russia. Benedejčič emphasized that Slovenian citizens were not in danger and that the Slovenian embassy in Moscow is working normally. The National Security Council had been convened as the leader of the Wagner Group, a private military company, ordered an advance towards Moscow yesterday and to called again on Russia to withdraw from Ukraine.
