This year's Golden Bee prize was conferred to Boštjan Noč, a beekeeper and head of the Slovenian Beekeeping Association. The prize was given out last night, as part of the events marking World Bee Day. Mr. Noč warned yesterday that where bees can't survive neither can humans. Boštjan Noč dedicated the Golden Bee prize to all Slovenian beekeepers.
