Slovenia's PM Robert Golob, accompanied by Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon and the head of UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, visited gravely wounded children and youth from Gaza being treated in Slovenia.
The 10 young Palestinians, who were flown to Slovenia last week, are being treated at the Soča University Rehabilitation Institute in Ljubljana.
PM Golob described their stories as upsetting, and said the situation in the Middle East will top his agenda as he travels to Washington DC today for talks with US President Joe Biden.
The rehabilitation project for children from Gaza was initiated by the foundation of former Slovenian president Danilo Turk.
